I also haven't skated in quite some time. I've been taking some time off to try to get my life in order, and it turns out that I will be leaving Ohio shortly and moving to Florida.

I'm hoping to begin skating again with a Florida team, and I can't wait to join my Cincinnati Rollergirls tomorrow to watch a scrimmage between the Black Sheep and the Naptown Rollergirls.

You could also vote for Lauren Bishop (a.k.a Miss Print) as best journalist. While you're at it, why not pick your favorite rollergirl and vote for her as best athlete? (K. Lethal has already been nominated, FYI.)

Finally, you should vote for "Roller Derby Diva", written by Miss Print, as the best blog. Or you could nominate this blog, but really, M.P. is an actual writer, and she blogs pretty faithfully (as opposed to... :wink: ). I'm just a monkey just trying to bang out the complete works of Shakespeare. Fling poo!

While I don't know why or how, one thing I do know is that she was the sweetest, most loving person that I have ever had the honor of knowing.

I cannot emphasize how much Kristeen has influenced me. It's safe to say that there would be no Captain Painway without her. She introduced me to Star Trek. I remember her telling me about this really cool show called Voyager, and how I should start watching it. We were both instant fans.

We would sit in homeroom every Thursday morning and discuss the previous night's episode. Completely ignoring everyone else (and their strange looks), we'd discuss Trek all morning. We were from two different worlds: she was a star basketball player, and I was a nerd in the band, but Star Trek, and a friendship that started in elementary school, brought us together.

We slowly drifted apart as we reached senior year. After graduation we gradually lost contact with each other, as people often do. I truly regret that. The funny thing is, seven years after graduating high school, I can still remember her voice, and the hilarious way she would sigh and roll her eyes when she was tired of my shenanigans.

You will be missed Kristeen. I love you. Peace.

Players can explore Flower Kingdom, Tokyo, Paris, Moscow, and other locales populated by non-player Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty herself, Badtz-Maru, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kerropi, Pochacco, Purin, Muffin, and Scone. While the game emphasizes an "engaging social aspect centered on the magical and cute online world of Hello Kitty," it includes standard MMORPG features such as customizable avatars, guilds, skill systems, and player economy. 

On a derby-related note, I have Hello Kitty on my helmet, because that's how I roll.
