Like It Derby?

What the ^&@(^&!

OK, so the whole "structured" approach ain't workin' for me.  One day I might get to the skate-buying thing, but right now, I'm not into it.  Hence, it's not getting written.

Moving along...
Monday was the Reds Opening Day parade in downtown Cincinnati.  It was very interesting, my first time skating on city streets.  On top of it all it was raining and just slightly above freezing.  That was lovely.  I also didn't bring any safety gear.  I'm pretty lucky I didn't fall during the parade (I waited until it was all said and done before falling while goofing off on the sidewalk).  In fact, I don't think anyone fell during the parade, but then again, I was the only rookie on skates.  All my fellow skaters were those awesome chicks that can do pirouettes and stop on one toe stop.  They were hopping over pot holes like they were nothing.
I'm definitely hurting today.  Practice was OK, I lost some time during the time trials due to my aching shins, but I didn't trip myself up or anything, so that's good.  I'm a little bummed that I only got to go in to scrimmage once; I know that the team is gearing up for the next bout (I'm not on the roster), but I know that I won't get any better until I can get in there and really work on some things.  I really want to hit some people hard and to get hit hard.
I'm rambling.  That's what happens at 12 a.m.
