It Keeps Growing and Growing…

I just happened across this article about a team in Auburn, Alabama that will be playing their first bout this Saturday. The team, the Burn City Rollers, was only founded back in August 2008, but already has sixteen girls on the roster. They'll be taking on the Red Stick Roller Derby from Baton Rouge, LA.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they do. I love to see new leagues forming, especially in smaller towns. Even though they might not get the same amount of attention as leagues in larger cities, I feel that they will be critical to the success of derby. If you're in that area, give these girls some love!
